Are you screening your patients with high blood pressure for diabetes?

Probably not, according to a Minnesota Department of Health study. The study found that 1 in 3 adults (345,000 Minnesotans) with high blood pressure reported they did not receive a diabetes test during the past three years. People with high blood pressure are at increased risk for type 2 diabetes and should be screened for diabetes annually.

Help reduce the number of undiagnosed diabetes and prediabetes cases. Check blood glucose levels on all your adult patients with high blood pressure!
