Probably not, according to a Minnesota Department of Health study. The study found that 1 in 3 adults (345,000 Minnesotans) with high blood pressure reported they did not receive a diabetes test during the past three years. People with high blood pressure are at increased risk for type 2 diabetes and should be screened for diabetes annually.
Help reduce the number of undiagnosed diabetes and prediabetes cases. Check blood glucose levels on all your adult patients with high blood pressure!

Diabetes affects everyone in the family. If you have diabetes, ask everyone in your family to help you manage your disease. If you live with a person with diabetes, your support is important in helping prevent serious health problems.
